about

Dirty Pat Walsh is a throw back to another time - a man exploring raw and visceral emotions through the spectrum of primitive and traditional musical mediums. A stalwart of the music scene in Peterborough Ontario, Pat has created a world all his own where pre-war blues, North American folk, dust bowl ballads, and of course punk collide and become something new. Recording with whatever instruments and recording gear are available to him, the lo-fi aesthetic underscores his music's connection to the past while taking those forms to unexplored territory. It's rough and ready music and if you are able to get with the harsh expressions of sound, you'll find sweet songs underneath, songs that we are all connected to - that are part of our emotional and national DNA.
