Working as a live and studio ambient/drone entity, Düne Kankel has taken the grinding wails of it's earlier work into new territory, into dark chasms of sound - bigger and deeper. The virtuosic acoustic flourishes from their previous album have been replaced by rich, warm singing tones, loop echo, crushing riffs, and throat singing. A huge wall of an album. Transformative, terrifying.
